Unfortunately, you are wrong. There is a China Post Office at the Everest Base Camp in Tibet.

However, in the post office at EBC, there are merely three officials, the director, the comprehensive official and the courier. The opening time of the post office is from 10:00 am to 18:00 pm. Besides, the post office is only available in the peak season of Tibet’s tourism, from the end of April to August. During this period, there is a temporarily post road set up by post office in Shigatse from the Everest Base Camp to Tingri. Thousands of travelers travel to the base camp from home and abroad in summer. Lhasa to Everest Base Camp tour is the most popular choice among travelers.
